The recent HIA on the public health implications of Brexit in Wales is featured as one of the articles in the e-bulletin. Liz Green, Programme Director for Health Impact Assessment, has also recorded a podcast for Public Health Network Cymru.

Call for Abstracts and Registration Open for 12th European Public Health Conference

Registration is now open for the Pre-Conference to the 12th European Public Health Conference, 'Health Impact Assessment (HIA) institutionalization and multisectoral collaboration in Europe', in Marseille, France, 20 November 2019. Abstract submission for the pre-conference is open until May 1st.

TCPA Launch New Report on Reuniting Health with Planning

On Monday January 21st 2019, the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) launched a new report in the House of Commons titled "The State of the Union. Reuniting Health with Planning in Promoting Healthy Communities." WHIASU and Public Health Wales were one of six organisations across England and Wales to collaborate on this report.

Cardiff Council and Cardiff and Vale Public Health Team have worked in partnership to develop a briefing paper on the topic of ‘Obesity, Hot Food Outlets and Planning in Cardiff’ which investigates whether there is an association between deprivation, hot food outlets and childhood obesity.
