HIA Reports

This page gives access to a wide range of HIA reports which have been completed in Wales since 2001. They have been carried out in a variety of sectors and settings. The reports published below are variable in their scope, size and length. This reflects the size of document needed, and which was appropriate, for the decision makers at the time ie for a Scrutiny Committee meeting; a Board Paper; or to inform a community and organisation more comprehensively. Missing data, evidence or background from a report does not mean that this was not collected or used.

Health Impact Assessment (HIA) of the Gaer Bungalow Estate and new Derwen Development

WHIASU/DERWEN

Derwen is the only housing association in Wales with a dedicated focus on older people. It was created in April 2014 with the sole aim of providing housing and related services informed by the needs and aspirations of older people. It’s work enables its residents to live healthy, independent lives within their communities and active ageing is at the heart of its new, innovative approaches to older people’s housing. It aims to be an organisation with the right expertise and focus to be able to respond to changing demographics and aspirations - an issue often presented as a challenge but one Derwen firmly views as an opportunity.
